Zach Braff and 'Scrubs' Co-Star Donald Faison Are Like a 'Married Couple'

Zach Braff revealed People how he and his Bushes Co-star Donald Faison is “like a married couple.”

Braff and Faison worked together for nine seasons on the NBC medical drama, and have enjoyed a close friendship and business partnership since late 2010. The exes; and most recently, the pals reunited for a series of T-Mobile ads opposite Jason Momoa.

“We're just really close,” said Braff, who is the godfather of Faison's two children. According to the Garden State actor, the secret to the pair's long-lasting friendship is “the same as in any relationship: communicating and not letting trivial things get in the way.”

Braff joked that he and Faison are related closer to a “married couple” than anything else. “We get mad at each other and let it roll off our backs,” he explained. “Sometimes I want to kill him, but then I realize that I can't give him up and we love each other.”

In March, Faison explained the origin story of the duo's friendship when he appeared The Kelly Clarkson Show.

''I first met him at the table BushesFaison recalled. “And we talked a little bit and I said, 'Wow, we have the same sense of humor.' And after the first season ended, we both went to New York,” she explained, adding that she and Braff decided to find an apartment together for the summer, while working on separate shows.

Faison continued: “I realized he was my best friend when we were playing ping pong in our underwear in the living room. I was like, 'You're my best friend! Look at us!'''

Braff currently stars alongside Vince Vaughn in the Apple TV+ series Bad monkey.
