Warframe 1999 is the newest expansion to the Warframe story coming later this year. This expansion places players in a more grounded environment on an alternate Earth, rather than the space-themed confrontations that Tenno are so accustomed to, as seen in the Level Infinite showcase.
Warframe 1999 takes place on New Year's Eve, as Arthur and his Hex comrades battle technological monstrosities, ride motorcycle-like atomicycles through the streets, solve Snake-like puzzles, and face off against a corrupt Lich boy band.
Players will need to complete the Whispers in the Walls expansion before entering the world of 1999, as this story expansion continues the story of Albrecht Entrati, the Orokin scientist. Entrati's comings and goings and his secrets are what drives the expansion's main character, Arthur, played by Ben Starr, forward. Players will need to be careful as old and new enemies will stand in their way.
Warframe 1999 is slated for release in Winter 2024, and a short prologue, Lotus Eaters, is coming today to set the stage for the party of a lifetime.
