Lord of the Rings fans will only have to wait two weeks for the premiere of season 2 of The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power on Prime Video. As we saw a few weeks ago at Comic-Con, the season is full of Middle-earth wonders with the Ents, the Balrog, and of course the rings themselves.
Prime Video released a new trailer on Wednesday that shows the stakes of the war in Middle-earth and the coming of the Rings of Power. Check it out below.
We see Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards) come to terms with his creations and realize that he too has been tricked by Sauron, in the guise of Annatar. This trailer is more focused on the world at war, with some serious battles coming with elves above and dwarves below, both battling dark forces.
An alliance is also formed with Adar (Sam Hazeldine), who is the first to mention the Eye of Sauron. In Season 1, Adar was beginning to lay the foundations for the territory of Mordor, which would eventually house the Eye of Sauron atop Barad-dûr.
Showrunners Patrick McKay and JD Payne announced in February that they were extending their partnership with Amazon and signing a new three-year deal with the company, allowing for an early start to Season 3.
