The Elder Scrolls: Castles: September release date

Bethesda Game Studios has announced the official release date for The Elder Scrolls: Castles. The latest installment in the Elder Scrolls series will be released worldwide on September 10th for mobile devices.

Bethesda Game Studios shared a message on its official Twitter/X account announcing the release date, along with a video from mobile games director Craig Lafferty and production director Veronique Bruneau explaining the game. Lafferty describes The Elder Scrolls: Castles as the “spiritual successor to Fallout Shelter.” Castles shares the same premise as Shelter in that players create their castle, keep it running smoothly, and assign the right people to the right tasks.

One important thing about The Elder Scrolls: Castles is that a single day in the real world counts as a year in the game. Over time, players will see their castle evolve as their ruler evolves. How they customize their castle will directly affect their success. Castles will also feature a roguelite mode where players will send their subjects to fight endless waves of enemies in exchange for rewards. Players can equip enchantments that will grant bonuses to their subjects in hopes of surviving longer.

It's worth pointing out that The Elder Scrolls: Castles has been playable for quite some time now. It was originally released last year. It was playable on the Google Play Store and was listed as Early Access. Then, earlier this year, it was announced again with a link allowing players to pre-register for it.

The Elders Scroll 6 still doesn't have a release date. For more information on the game, check out our article detailing everything we know about The Elders Scroll 6.
