The face of Supermassive Games' Dark Pictures Anthology, Tony Pankhurst, has died aged 67.
Although Pankhurst passed away in May 2024, Supermassive only shared the news on their social media channels today (July 29).
“We are all saddened to hear of the death of Tony Pankhurst,” the studio said in a statement.
“He was the face of the Curator and we enjoyed working with him.”
The Curator is one of the few characters to persist in The Dark Pictures Anthology universe, appearing in every game to date: Man of Medan, Little Hope, House of Ashes, and The Devil In Me as a player guide.
Unlike some of the other notable faces and names attached to The Dark Pictures Anthology since the series began in 2019, in this case Pankhurst provided the Curator's facial appearance, while Pip Torrens provided the voice and motion capture.
