It looks like we'll be getting more pirates and mercenaries in the live-action adaptation of One Piece on Netflix. Fans can expect the introduction of Baroque Works with Mr. O/Sir Crocodile and Miss All Sunday played by Joe Manganiello and Lera Abova, respectively.
The announcement was made prematurely, as Netflix's Tadum hub was unveiled earlier than expected. GameSpot has reached out to Netflix for confirmation.
It's official!
Joe Manganiello and Lera Abova have joined the cast of ONE PIECE season 2 as Mr. O and Miss All Sunday according to a premature update on Netflix TUDUM. pic.twitter.com/Wly2KeLYjd— What's New on Netflix (@whatonnetflix) September 18, 2024
Sir Crocodile is a former warlord of the sea and the former president of the mysterious crime syndicate Baroque Works, working under the mysterious alias of Mr. 0. As a warlord, Crocodile maintained the façade of being an ally to both the people of the Kingdom of Alabasta and the Marines while secretly running Baroque Works.
As for All Sunday, real name Nico Robin, she is Crocodile's partner and vice president of Baroque Works. Born into a family of archaeologists, Robin ate the Hana Hana no Mi devil fruit at a young age, giving her the power to reproduce parts of her body – or her entire body – on any surface.
Netflix's One Piece Season 1 was a massive hit and was quickly renewed for a second season, but there's no update on when Season 2 will arrive.
In addition to Manganiello and Abova, the cast includes Morgan Davies as Koby, Aidan Scott as Helmep, Vincent Regan as Vice Admiral Garp, Langley Kirkwood as Captain “Axe Hand” Morgan, Craig Fairbrass as Zeff, Peter Gadiot as Shanks, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino as Alvida, Jeff Ward as Buggy the Clown, Alexander Maniatis as Klahadore, McKinley Belcher III as Arlong, Steven Ward as Dracule Mihawk, and Michael Dorman as Gold Roger.
