Microsoft has reportedly apologized to Jyamma Games for claims that the firm ignored developers during the Xbox Enotria: The Last Song certification process.
In a Discord message he saw GamesIndustry.bizJyamma CEO Jacky Greco said Microsoft contacted them after the developer announced on Monday that it would delay the Xbox launch indefinitely.
Greco took the decision to Discord, claiming that despite having a console version ready, Microsoft ignored his questions about the certification process for two months.
“I spent a lot of money on transfers and they chose to ignore us,” Greco wrote. “Enotria obviously doesn't interest them and they don't care [the players].”
As reported by Eurogamer , Jyamma Games said in March that it would not be launching Enotria on Xbox at the same time as other consoles because it wanted to create “an excellent experience for PC and PS5 players”.
This decision was later changed when the game's August release date was pushed back to September.
Jyamma Games isn't the only studio to struggle with Xbox releases in recent years. Funcom CPO Scott Junior recently told VG247 that the developer had trouble porting Dune Awakening to the Xbox Series S due to optimization issues.
Larian Studios also experienced “technical issues” with the development of its Xbox port of Baldur's Gate 3 last year, ultimately delaying its console release.
