McDonald's is channeling millennial childhood nostalgia with new products

McDonald's Happy Meals have been a staple of the fast food giant for decades and have become an integral part of many millennials' childhoods. Now you can relive your childhood with Golden Arches' newest Happy Meal designed for adults.

Starting August 13, McDonald's customers in more than 30 countries will be able to purchase Collector's Edition cups celebrating iconic characters from McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Mattel, Universal, Sanrio or TY Beanie Babies. They will be available in embossed glass or tritan plastic, and will feature beloved characters from many Gen X and millennial childhoods.

Featured mugs include the Grimace Mug, Pet Lovin' Barbie and Shrek. If you want to relive some of McDonald's most iconic collaborations over the years, now's your chance.

Morgan Flatley, McDonald's senior vice president of global marketing and head of new business, said: “There's an undeniable thrill when you get your hands on that one elusive McDonald's collectible, or the final piece to add to your collection.” “These new collectible glasses commemorate our most memorable designs and global collaborations over the years, allowing old fans to relive precious moments and helping a new generation to create lasting memories.”

Before you rush to the nearest McDonald's location, be sure to check the McDonald's app or your local McDonald's restaurants to see if you can get a Collector's Edition cup where you live. After that, you can enjoy as much soda in them as your heart desires.
