If Star Wars has Baby Yoda, then Baby Groot is undeniably the cutest face of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Naturally, there are plenty of merchandise items for the adorable Florian, but it doesn't get any better than this adorable Lego set that lets you build your own Groot and have fun with the little Guardian of the Galaxy. Normally priced at $55, you can pick up this 476-piece Lego Groot set for just $30 this week at Amazon and Target.
Note: Target says orders placed today will arrive later this week, but Amazon has clearly been hit with an influx of orders, as the retailer is currently estimating a one- to two-month wait. The only downside to Target is that you'll have to hit the $35 mark to get free shipping, while Groot is eligible for Prime delivery on Amazon. That said, Target is offering a slew of notable Lego deals this week, including a display model of Star-Lord's helmet, which is exclusive to Target. Other Target-exclusive Marvel Lego sets on sale include Spider-Man's mask and Wolverine's adamantium claws from X-Men '97.
I am Groot Deal
$30 ($55)

So what makes this Baby Groot figure so awesome? Aside from the fact that it looks exactly like the real Marvel, but with a Lego aesthetic, it's also easy to pose thanks to all the movable joints in its limbs and head. So you can recreate some of Groot's best moments from the movies, like his iconic dance sequence to the tune of Mr. Blue-Sky from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
You can even make an Awesome Mix cassette, although you'll probably want to avoid putting it in your grandpa's cassette player. But you can put a real working Awesome Mix in the cassette player. The original soundtracks for all three films are available on cassette from Amazon.
Awesome mix tapes
If you don’t have a cassette player in 2024, you can get one of the newer models for less, like the Reshow Walkman for $29.75 (was $35). The Awesome Mix collection (all three volumes) is also available on CD for $50 or vinyl for $89.
Marvel's Dancing Groot
$45

While not as cute, Lego recently released a Groot set that actually dances. Marvel Dancing Groot moves when you turn the crank on the back of his flower pot display stand. The flower pot also doubles as a storage compartment for some accessories, including headphones and sunglasses. You can buy Marvel's Dancing Groot for $45 on Amazon–and this particular Groot set will ship immediately from Amazon.
Marvel's Venomous Groot
$40 ($50)

If you want something more sinister, Venomized Groot is on sale for $40 (normally $50). Arguably cooler, this Lego set reimagines Groot if he had bonded with the Venom symbiote. He looks deliciously evil, and while he doesn't come with a mixtape, he has the Venom symbiote's famous long tongue, sharp teeth, and tentacles. Like the Groot set above, he's also easy to pose, and you can choose to display him in a partially or fully transformed state.
