Sony has apparently revealed the design of the PS5 Pro. As people are discovering, the PlayStation 30th anniversary images released today, September 5, appear to include an image of a product that matches a leaked design for the PS5 Pro.
As you can see in the image below, the rectangle with lines painted on it could be the design of the PS5 Pro. It matches an image first revealed by Dealabs in late August, which claims to be the console's appearance. Take a look for yourself in the image below, as shared by Wario64 on social media.
This is a far cry from confirming that this is a first look at the PS5 Pro, so for now, take this information with a grain of salt. PlayStation's 30th anniversary blog post mentions “more to come,” which could be a reference to the State of Play scheduled for September, where the PS5 Pro could be revealed.
Leaked PS5 Pro specs suggest it could feature a “High CPU Frequency Mode” that would boost the PS5’s CPU by 10% to 3.85GHz. The system’s GPU, if the leaks are legitimate, could be capable of up to 45% faster rendering with significantly improved ray tracing effects.
Recently, Hideo Kojima's assistant uploaded a photo of the developer playing Death Stranding 2 with what appears to be a hidden device. Many are suggesting that this could be the PS5 Pro or a developer version of the console. One analyst recently said that the PS5 Pro could sell for $650.
The next big game for the PS5 is Astro Bot, which is coming out on September 6th and has received rave reviews, including a 9/10 from GameSpot. Sony's other recent big game, Concord, was shut down shortly after launch.
