Doom Anthology is now available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC. The $80 compilation includes six Doom games, a BFG collectible replica, and a Steelbook case. Announced in August, Doom Anthology was initially sold out on Amazon when pre-orders began, but is available for all platforms on launch day.
The same can't be said for the Fallout Special Anthology Edition, a similar compilation that launched in February alongside a bunch of Amazon-exclusive Fallout merchandise ahead of Prime Video's popular TV adaptation. Fallout Anthology Edition sold out before its release in February and has only been available at retailers since then.
Unfortunately, you'll need to use the Steelbook case to store anything other than Doom Anthology, as this collection is digital. Doom Anthology comes with a voucher that can be used on Steam, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store.

The BFG line is probably the most exciting Doom Anthology inclusion for longtime fans. The iconic gun has been recreated as a five-inch collectible with LED lights and display stand. The steelbook case is rather plain compared to the eye-catching artwork typically featured in Doom releases.
Some fans may like the simple look of the case, but probably won't be thrilled that the case doesn't include a disc or cartridge. This collection is entirely digital, so you'll need to find something else to store inside. Doom Anthology comes with a voucher that can be used on Steam, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store or Nintendo Switch eShop.
Doom Anthology comes with the following six games:
- Destiny (1993)
- Destiny II
- Destiny 64
- Destiny 3
- Destiny (2016)
- Doom Eternal Deluxe Edition
Since this is a digital-only collection, the PlayStation Edition is for PS5 and PS4, and the Xbox version includes the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions. Even though Microsoft owns ZeniMax Media, the parent company of id Software, the PC version includes a Steam key, not a Microsoft Store key.
All six Doom games in this collection are included with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription on Xbox and PC. You can get 3-month Game Pass Ultimate prepaid codes for just $36.49 from Woot right now.
Nonetheless, Doom Anthology offers a convenient way to read the series' main entries on modern platforms. With Doom: The Dark Ages, a prequel to the 2016 reboot, scheduled to launch in 2025, it's a good time to revisit the two excellent contemporary Doom games.
But the old Doom games are also worth spending time in 2024. Doom (1993) and Doom II were re-released on the same day that Doom Anthology was revealed. Existing owners, including those purchasing this collection, can upgrade for free. These enhanced editions can be played in 4K resolution at 120fps on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. They also feature a wealth of additional content, including an all-new Doom II campaign episode, 26 new multiplayer maps, and much more. Additionally, both games now feature crossplay for deathmatches and missions. The pair now have 43 deathmatch cards and 187 mission cards.
The original Doom has another exciting new version on the horizon. Limited Run Games is making a new physical edition of the 1995 Super Nintendo port. It will be available in 2025 in both standard and collector's edition formats, each of which comes with a poster and instruction booklet. The SNES cartridge version of Doom from Limited Run isn't available to order yet, but you'll find it here when it goes live.
