Deadpool and Wolverine Concept Artist Reveals Unused Deadpool Variants

Deadpool and Wolverine had no shortage of Deadpool variants for the main characters to fight. Most of the variants were directly based on their comic book counterparts, including Blake Lively's Lady Deadpool. However, there were other variants that didn't make it into the film, including a Deadpool and Wolverine fusion.

Via Variety, Marvel concept artist David Masson has shared his take on Wolverpool. While the character may not have a final name, as Masson suggests, Wolverinepool and Deadverine do. Our pick would have been Poolverine, since the costume has more elements of Deadpool than Wolverine. The existence of this combined character also raises the question of which one is hiding under the mask: a Deadpool variant or a Wolverine variant?

Masson also shared a sneak peek at Punkpool, another unused Deadpool Corps design that appears to have been clearly inspired by Spider-Punk.

Having a mohawk made of spikes is a very Deadpool thing. But it's hard to see how this version of Deadpool is different from the others, other than an overwhelming preference for spikes.

Masson also discussed a few other Deadpool variations, including Grandma Deadpool and Luchador Deadpool.

As of now, Masson hasn't added any other Deadpool variations. But given the popularity of this movie, it seems unlikely that we've seen the last of Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool or his variations.

Deadpool & Wolverine is now in theaters.
