Applebee's 'All You Can Eat' Store Leads to Arrest

Applebee's All You Can Eat meal deal is a great way to eat as much as you want at a great price; just make sure you don't share your food with anyone you're with. An Applebee's customer recently learned this lesson the hard way.

According to Todaypolice arrested a 28-year-old woman at an Applebee's in Portage, Indiana, after a customer and restaurant staff got into an argument over All You Can Eat store rules. The police report detailed that they were called because of a “verbal disturbance” at the restaurant in which “several women were screaming” and “threatening people.”

Upon arrival, police found three adults, including the woman, who would later be arrested, and “several juveniles.” One customer told police they were led to believe Applebee's All You Can Eat offer was for the entire table if only one person ordered it. An argument ensued when the manager told them they each had to pay $15.99 for their own meal deal and gave them an updated check to reflect the required payment.

This led to the 28-year-old woman “shouting and behaving in a disorderly manner” and officers warned her twice that she could be arrested for disorderly conduct. He was eventually arrested, handcuffed and taken to the local jail.

Eventually the people he was dining with realized that the meal was per person and not per table, so one of them returned to the room and paid the full bill.

Applebee's reintroduced All You Can Eat boneless wings, ribs and double crispy shrimp earlier this summer. It's available for a limited time, but keep in mind that the $15.99 price is for one person only.
