Saturday Night Live its half-century history has seen plenty of unforgettable hosts, though they're usually remembered more for their on-screen antics. However, one presenter managed to create an unfortunate image in the minds of several actors due to his behavior behind the scenes.
Bowen Yang reflected on the behind-the-scenes incident in an appearance Watch What Happens With Andy Cohen live Sunday evening. During a game of Truth or Kink, Yang was asked about the worst SNL the host's behavior that he witnessed during his time on the show.
“This man, this person, this host yelled at several cast members on Wednesday before the table read because he hated the ideas,” Yang revealed. The 33-year-old did not name the celebrity host, leaving some wondering who the misbehaving person was.
Yang's Las Culturistas Co-host Matt Rogers offered his take on the situation. “He's got a new PR and everything,” Rogers joked.
Yang was the first to join Saturday Night Live as a writer in 2018. He was promoted to cast member the following year and quickly cemented his place among the cast. Since then, he has appeared in films such as Fire Island and shows the like Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, The Simpsonsand It's fantastic.
This fall, Yang will play perhaps her biggest film role to date, alongside Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo in the highly anticipated film adaptation. Evil.
Evil will be in theaters on November 22. Evil Part Two debuts next year on November 26, 2025.
