A new survey has found that more than half of gamers prefer playing single-player titles.
According to Midia Research, this game mode is the most popular across all platforms – especially mobile, with 58% of respondents saying they prefer single-player games.
Survey data was collected from Midia Research's Q1 2024 and Q1 2023 consumer surveys in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, France, Poland, Turkey and South Africa.
The research found that older gamers were more attracted to single-player titles, with 74% of gamers over the age of 55 opting to play games solo.
Meanwhile, players between the ages of 20 and 24 preferred playing PVP games with 43%.
The report also found that nearly a third of those surveyed were motivated to play a standalone game if they had access to a free demo.
